As a former Manhattan-based women’s apparel and accessories buyer for companies like Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger, Anne DeCore acquired industry experience in styling, market research and trend reporting. She attended New York Fashion Week where she selected looks straight off the runway to buy for retail stores. She lead global shopping trips to Paris, Amsterdam and Los Angeles to scoop inspiration pieces from high-end boutiques and vintage stores for line development. She styled looks for e-commerce product shoots and assisted in styling PR and marketing campaigns. Her personal style is rooted in modern updates on classics, with a keen sensitivity to texture and quality.
After relocating to Chicago, she turned these passions to the editorial world. She launched Defining Delphine in July 2013, a blog that seeks to inspire women as they define their personal sense of style.
Anne has consulted as a stylist for corporations such as Starwood Hotels, and consults for individuals requiring personal shopping or closet editing.
She is a graduate of Colgate University and an east coast native. Her Scandinavian heritage and love of France are cultural influences that tend to shine through her blog topics, as does her frequent travel between Chicago and New York. Her hobbies include photography, illustration, graphic design, magazine hoarding, 90’s fashion and film, Baltic sea fishing and Robert Redford.
